#killitcutitdown #songaday / 6. NOTHING WRONG

Track 6: “Nothing Wrong”
This song was written for my wife, Mary. In so many ways we saved each other. When we finally battled through the muck that we never thought would be behind us, I felt beyond victorious. I wrote this song to help her to remember that she can put the load on my shoulders and let me make everything okay.

(by the way, you can buy the full record now for only $8 at parachutemusical.com)

There’s nothing wrong with you, there’s nothing wrong with me
I’ve got it all figured out, you’ve got it all
I looked over the cliff and saw the army standing tall
But I got it all figured out and were fine

Don’t explain yourself to me
Cause I’m already yours and I’ve been
And right or wrong were here I’m glad
That it is what it is imperfect

Change your clothes you change your dress
But I’m not half a heart so I see
That what’s real is real that’s plain enough
So you can twist you can break but you can’t blow away

Something this simple to get said should get said and out
Then u called me
I didn’t want it anymore you didn’t want me to be gone
I’m done cause’
Nothing could ever call me like you
Nothing could ever call me like you
Nothing could ever call me like when I
Saw you there with your pretty little dress and all that hair
You don’t need a reason to be scared cause you give me a heart attack
And I like it
Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh
Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh, Oh, Oh… Oh

No regrets no more goodbyes
Cause I found what I want and you’re right here
So lets get old and feed the earth
With our plots in a row and our names in stone
