Charlotte, NC (02/28/10)
We’ve been to Charlotte many times, the last being with Sequoyah Prep School. That was an amazing night. So many kids, such a great venue… it was great. Well, for whatever reason, we didn’t have the “so many kids” syndrome for our show at Snug Harbor. I’m not sure why but it was slim pickins’. About 30-40 people in the room and they were generally excited, but where were the rest of them? Probably too young to get into ye olde Snug Harbor. Either way, we had a great show and a very good time reuniting with our friends Sequoyah Prep School for a one off evening. Afterward, we went to the home of Bryan and Shanta. As usual they were extremely hospitable, cooking a full fledged dinner for us and give us great sleeping quarters. Things were ESPECIALLY comfortable this time because Ben and Andrew broke off from Tom and I after the show to go hang out with our friend Angela and her friend. Apparently Andrew met the lead singer of Taking Back Sunday’s wife. Bonus! Tomorrow is supposed to be a day off but I think we’re going to make the drive to Fayetteville, NC to play an open mic night and hopefully get my tattoo finished that was started there about eight months ago. The day after ANDREW JOINED THE BAND!
