PARACHUTE MUSICAL

Single Release Tour - Lake Charles, LA (Day 9)

Really excited to get into Louisiana for the first time. We woke up at Adam and Stella’s place to a sleuth of breakfast tacos. They were delicious and we can’t thank our hosts enough for how awesome they were to us. After a quick look at Andrew’s old tour van and a gigantic aloe plant, we headed on our way. The drive was a bit far but sleeping in the back was a different change of pace for me that seemed to pass the time nicely.

Once in Lake Charles we decided to meet up with Sequoyah. They were at the house of the show promoter, a kind duder named Chris. His girl made some gumbo and peach cobbler which was very appreciated. After a quick bite we headed to the venue, AJ’s bar.

The venue was not bad. It had a decent sized bar and a separate room for shows. The toilet situation was pretty terrible… About as bad as it can get actually. Some ass blood tore one of the toilets out of the ground and another douche hound broke glass bottles in the other toilet. Pretty “shitty” guys. On the bright side, the sound was great and the sound man was better! His name was Patrick but he preferred to go by Hillbilly. Mr. Billy was missing a few teeth and flaunting a shirt that said Fuck all over it in big bold letters. He ran the sound like a champ and I had a pretty solid show as a result.

It was a packed Saturday night, especially for Sequoyah who do really well down here in LA. I was pumped to see so many people out in a town that we’ve never been to. We even had a great write up in the local entertainment magazine. All in all it was a great experience. Very huge thanks to Jordan for letting us crash at his place.
