Studio Blog 10
As this blog is being written, the mixing of our record is underway! We’ve come a long way since loading in our gear here at Cleveland’s Closer Look Studios three weeks ago. It’s like we’ve each lived a whole chapter of our lives here. We’ve been so entirely consumed with the album.. everything you hear in it is the result of some very hard work, and even a bit of suffering. Well, we suffered from pretty much two things; the cold and microwavable dinners. In all, we can’t complain one bit. We got to come out here and take almost a month to record with one of our favorite producers.. freezing our asses off and eating bad food was well worth it! But seriously, eff Hot Pockets, Hungryman’s and Morning Star patties! :)
The result is turning into a record that is completely US. It’s raw, intense and beautiful (if we do say so ourselves:) ). All four members are represented so well. We’ve come a very long way since our first self titled album.. we’ve grown with each other and have formed more and more into ourselves as a band. This album is true to us, and we think it’s pretty damn unique.
We just can’t wait for you to hear it.
Special thanks once again to our Kickstarter supporters, as we’d be without an album right now if it weren’t for you. We also owe much gratitude to our hosts; Jeff, Lauren and Tom for letting us have a place to sleep. Cheers!
Here are some pictures from our final days here in Cleveland:
Tom Whall, our awesome host, brought us dinner to the studio! Thanks to him, Kate and Caitlyn. And thanks once again for letting us crash. Tennis rules!
Josh’s check sheet. Here’s the one for “Nothing Wrong”.
Andrew got to use his bass on a couple of tunes, taking a break from the metal bass.

Josh cuttin some vox. Love that scarf.
Andrew utilizing his “group of children” voice on some BGV’s. Josh and Jim looking on adoringly.
