PARACHUTE MUSICAL

Another early wake up call by our host, another drive to another city we visited months earlier. It hasn’t been too long since our last Chicago trip, February actually. I have a great feeling going to all of these cities we toured to pre-Andrew. I just get pumped to introduce our growing fan base to the new Parachute Musical. Things have changed a lot since a few months back. We’re playing new material, more energy… it’s just exciting. We ended up being the opening act at Reggie’s Rock Club located in East Chicago. Another interesting part of touring is the competition for the best time slot. We booked the show so we should have had pick of the litter but it doesn’t always happen that way. Occasionally, people take liberties and make assumptions. Regardless of going first, it went great. It was one of our best out of town shows in recent memory. We played to people who knew our songs, repeat customers if you will… they came out after seeing us in February of this year (the “sick” tour where we were all MISERABLY ill with the flu). We can attribute the remaining attendees to Robot Lounge (an amazingly entertaining band from Chicago) and two great friends who promoted the hell out of the evening.  On our tour with Winter Sounds we made friends with Aubrey (a friend of the band who lives in Chicago) and Meredith (a member of the band who lives in Chicago). It was great hanging out with them pre-show. Aubrey bought us all pizza which was incredible. Not that thick crust B.S. – this was thin crust and delicious. Thick crust pizza? What the hell?! Go eat a calzone.  There were some fun greenroom activities going on and lots of new faces to get aquainted with.  Thanks for a great night, we will be back as soon as possible!
