PARACHUTE MUSICAL

Indianapolis, IN

We’re headed back out after only being home for three days.  I’m excited to go to Chicago, which is our second stop of this four-day run.  We’re headed there now after a very poorly attended show in Indiana.  There really isn’t much to talk about regarding yesterday’s activities.  There was a lot of driving, listening to music and making promotional materials for our shows at the Midpoint Music Festival.  We’re burning CDs, writing on them and sticking a flyer in the sleeve to hand out to people.  It’s tedious but giving out free shit at a music festival is what you have to do I guess.  There were some highpoints of yesterday.  Oblio, our buddies from Nashville, played the show with us.  They killed it as usual.  After we played our set, this metal band called Krash Karma set up to play.  It was very entertaining.  At one point, I decided to pull my pants down and “rock out” if you will.  Tom followed and Andrew ended up doing it too.  The singer, who had the longest dreads I’ve ever seen by the way, pulled his down mid song and kept rocking.  It was pretty awesome.  I laughed a lot today.  Oh, and we can’t forget the Wendy’s scene, some of which you can see in the video.  We imagined a family of plump people being outraged by Burger King’s decision to make certain meals under 650 calories.  The dad, as we envisioned him, had a southern twang and was extremely portly.  He pleaded with the managers, asking them the change their minds.  He bemoaned the “low cal” meal.  You see, he has six children, four of which have four kids.  “How can you feed a family that needs to also feed a family on under 650 calories? They need to fill up their spbreasts!”  Ludicrous.  On our way to Chicago to meet up with the good friends we made on the Winter Sounds tour! Very excited indeed.
