PARACHUTE MUSICAL

Baltimore, MD - 09/11/09

We woke up in Roanoke in the swanky swank apartment, packed up and drove towards Baltimore. Slowly, the weather became overcast and the traffic, heavy. We were due to stop in Silver Springs, MD at Ben’s parents’ house for dinner before the remaining hour of driving to the show. So we all shared peanut butter crackers from Ben’s MREs to tie us over and save our per diems. By the time we got into town, we were starving and sick of the traffic. Or at least I was. Ah, but Ben’s mother made us the best grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon and tomatoes. The wait was all worth it. We ate relatively quickly and hurried to Chuck Levin’s Music Store where Tom and Ben used to work. They loved seeing old friends there and shot the shit with them all while Josh crossed off his list of music accessories he needed. We drove the rest of the way to the venue, Metro Gallery. It was a cool place with some interesting art exhibits on display. We met up with Wakey Wakey for their first show with us and everyone played well. Ben, Tom, and Josh’s family all came out and plenty of their friends came as well. There was a good amount of people there and we all had a great time.

After the show we stayed with a good childhood friend of Josh’s, Lauren. She had such a cool place and was quite the artist, not to mention a great host. We all talked a bit and hung out. It was lots of fun. Then we ordered pizza that tasted absolutely delicious and went to bed, very tired. Long drive to Boston tomorrow so we won’t be getting much sleep.  We’re badasses.
