PARACHUTE MUSICAL

Charleston, SC - Day 4 PM / Winter Sounds Tour

Charleston, SC – Day 4

It’s hard to complain about having a day off in Charleston, SC.  It’s a beautiful place that is home to a lot of beautiful people.  We stayed with two of those people over the past two days.  Now on our way to Carrolton, GA we can’t help but reflect on the hospitality we’ve been shown over the past two days…  The amazing Italian meal, the extremely well decorated and spacious place to stay, box after box of free pizza, taking us surfing…  it’s almost too much to take in.  I said that we had the day off but that’s not totally true. We were supposed to have a day off in Charleston on Sunday but we got a last minute show at the Black Cart, once again.  So after a day at the beach surfing and goofing off in the water, we headed to the venue, loaded in and started promotion for the free show.  As luck would have it, it was “freshman move in day”.  They block off the streets to allow space for these kids to get their stuff in the dorms.  We started promoting for the Black Cart show around 7pm.  At this point, all of the freshmen were done getting set up in their dorms and looking to party.  As a result of our pre-show promotion, we saw a ton of faces that we met on the streets in Charleston at our show that night.  After the show, everyone was inviting us to this party and that party.  We were coerced into going to a party with two girls that helped us load our stuff out.  We weren’t going to do anything after the show but after these ladies helped us load our gear out we felt obligated to at least check it out.  We went to an apartment complex full of 18-year-old boys and girls who were drunk off their asses and making fools of themselves.  In an attempt to get away from that madness we went to the two girls apartment, ate raspberry brownies and zucchini bread then went back to where we were staying.  I lost my voice in the process of all this, which is always so stressful…  especially on your way to another show.

Thanks,

Josh
